LSC Introduces Three New Products at PLASA 2013

LSC's new APSan intelligent power-distribution unit

LSC is attending PLASA London again as part of the White Light zone and will be found on booth G60. PLASA London runs October 6 - 9 at ExCel London. This year LSC will introduce three new products to the marketplace.

For the first time at PLASA, LSC will be showing a Clarity LX900 console. The flagship of the family, the LX900 was first released in December 2012 and many venues across the world have already installed these units. All LX consoles operate on Clarity software which was first released in 2009 for PC and Mac and the LX900 on show will be running version 2 of this software demonstrating all its new features. Also on the booth will be the other members of the family, namely the LX300 and LX600 as well as the software versions of Clarity and wings.

In acknowledgement of the changing demands of the marketplace, the company says LSC is releasing a new intelligent power distribution unit called APS that is designed to remove the problems of collective in-rush currents and earth leakage of intelligent and LED fixtures causing unwanted breaker trips.

Equally at home in the lighting, sound, and video markets, for portable or permanent installation, the new APS solves these issues and also offers power monitoring of voltage and current both locally and remote. Top up the basics with control via DMX512, manual, or remote control over RDM and staggered startup across multiple units and APS lives up to its objective of being a truly universal product. APS can also be seen on the RDM stand and the innovation gallery.

LSC also will be showing a new data backbone system called DNA. Simple in its concept, this group of products allow for a data backbone of Cat5 cabling to be installed into a venue and offers a number of termination possibilities so that Ethernet or DMX512 can be run on the backbone. So a venue can be wired for DMX512 distribution today and it can convert to Ethernet distribution if and when needed. In fact a combination of DMX512 and Ethernet can coexist on the same system making removing the headaches that specifiers and architects usually encounter when trying to decide on what type of cabling to put into a venue to future-proof it.

Complementing these new products will be a sample of LSC's other products such as e24, EKO and Redback dimmers, MDR splitters, and NEXUS Ethernet decoders.

Pete Floyd, Gary Pritchard, and Richie Mickan from LSC's head office will be attending the show.
