Second Annual WAVIT Softball Tournament Set for May 17Women in AV/IT (WAVIT) is stepping up to the plate once again with the second annual Northeast Regional Service Provider Softball Tournament, scheduled for May 17 at Palisades Ball Park in New Jersey. This year's lineup includes returning and new all-stars from Digital Labor Solutions, Atlantis UGS, Exertis Almo, Neat, and Yorktel. The friendly competition raises funds for WAVIT's outreach initiatives, including its Waves of Influence Mentorship Program, which connects women with the resources and guidance they need to thrive in our industry. "We're thrilled to be heading into the second inning of what's becoming one of our favorite annual traditions," says Gina Sansivero, WAVIT founder and board member. "This isn't just about softball -- it's about bringing the industry together to champion inclusion, mentorship, and opportunity. Whether you're swinging for the fences or cheering from the dugout, your support helps us expand our reach and knock down barriers for women in AV/IT." Organizations looking to round the bases with WAVIT can support the event as a grand slam sponsor ($3,000), a pitching for progress sponsor ($2,000), or a power hitter sponsor ($1,000). Individual donations are also welcome and can be made via the WAVIT website at womeninavit.org by clicking the "Donate" button. "You don't have to be on the roster to make a difference," adds Althea Ricketts, WAVIT president. "Bring your competitive spirit, cheer on your favorite team, or just come out for a day of food, fun, and connection. Together, we can level the playing field for women in tech and AV." Lunch and beverages are included in the lineup.
