Freeman Audio Visual Canada Renews CSR Initiative "ECOS" Partnership with MPI CanadaFreeman Audio Visual Canada announces it will continue its sponsorship of and participation in the Events for Communities of Sustainability (ECOS) project, in partnership with the MPI Foundation and Meeting Professionals International (MPI) Canada, for another five years. Launched in autumn 2009, the ECOS project is a framework to support sustainability in communities based on the principles of "people, planet & profit." Each year, MPI Canada chapters select a local community organization to receive chapter support. The community group is selected from one of the following sectors: food, water, shelter, and education. A Freeman Audio Visual Canada liaison in each branch then teams up with the MPI chapter in their respective cities to provide additional support and resources on behalf of the company. Since this is a national initiative, all employees, family, and friends are invited to volunteer for these worthwhile causes. Freeman Audio Visual Canada has sponsored the program since its inception. "ECOS aligns perfectly with the integrity of our brand, our commitment to a national corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, and our industry leadership role," said Heidi Welker, vice president marketing, Freeman Audio Visual Canada. "With donations of funds, delivery resources, and manpower throughout the past five years, Freeman's contribution to the ECOS project has been instrumental," said Shelley Williams, chair, MPI Foundation Canada. "We look forward to continuing this collaboration and creating real, transformative change in our global communities through simple, relevant actions taken locally."
