ADJ Introduces Versatile 15 HEX BAR IP Linear LED Fixture

ADJ announces the immediate availability of the new 15 HEX BAR IP linear LED wash fixture. Boasting powerful 6-in-1 HEX color LEDs, zone control and an IP65-rated enclosure, this versatile unit can be used both indoors and outdoors for a variety of applications ranging from festival stages to temporary architectural lighting.

A total of fifteen 12W 6-in-1 HEX color (RGBWA+UV) LEDs are spaced equally across the length of the 15 HEX BAR IP. They allow the fixture to generate a maximum output of 14,541 lux measured at 1M (582 lux @ 5M) and create an even wash coverage with a 25-degree beam angle. The LEDs are grouped into five individually-controllable sections of three, allowing for the creation of color chasing 'eye candy' effects.

By mixing the six primary LED colors, the unit is able to generate an almost unlimited palette of shades and hues, including bold vibrant hot pinks, deep purples, and lime greens that aren't possible using lesser 3-in-1 and 4-in-1 LED-based fixtures. By blending the white and amber LED elements in varying degrees the fixture can also be used to generate white illumination in a variety of color temperatures making the 15 HEX BAR IP suitable for lighting performers on stage either as a footlight, backlight, or key light.

16-bit dimming allows for extremely smooth fades, while a choice of six different dimming curves allows the fixture to be configured for different applications. The LEDs are flicker-free, making the unit suitable for broadcast use and it is supplied pre-programmed with 63 color macros to aid programming.

With its robust all-metal design, the 15 HEX BAR IP is suitable for all professional entertainment lighting applications, including installation, touring, rental, and one-off event production. Its IP65-rating means that it can be used outdoors even in the rain or in environments that are likely to be dusty or sandy. It also means that, even if the fixture is used indoors, its LEDs and internal electronics are protected from dust, dirt, and humidity, resulting in an extended operational life and reduced maintenance requirement.

The 15 HEX BAR IP is supplied with a versatile heavy duty bracket, which can stand directly on the floor if the fixture is used for up-lighting or footlight duties, and features fixing points for two omega brackets to allow truss mounting. The bracket features a sure-lock system which locks at 10-degree increments preventing unwanted slipping and making it easy to ensure multiple fixtures are all set to precisely the same angle.

The fixture is supplied with an opaque diffusion filter which can be easily mounted above the LEDs simply by sliding it into a purpose-designed slot in the front of the unit. It is also supplied with an optional glare shield/hood, which prevents unwanted light spill when used as a footlight and can be easily installed on the top of the fixture using three thumb-tightening screws.

Offering a choice of ten different DMX modes, ranging from six to 60 channels, the 15 HEX BAR IP can be easily configured to match the level of control flexibility required and number of channels available. It is fitted with five-pin DMX input and output sockets and a large OLED display screen on the rear allows for easy configuration and DMX addressing.

Despite its extremely tough construction, the unit weighs in at an easily manageable 20lb/8.9kg. and has compact dimensions of 36" x 8" x 7.75"/915mm x 203mm x 200mm. It is equipped with locking Seetronic power input and output sockets which can be used to link the supply for up to six fixtures at 120V (15 @ 240V) from a single power source. Both the power and DMX sockets are fitted with rubber plugs, which can be used to seal them from moisture when not in use. The sockets are also arranged on the back of the unit for easy linking between fixtures, with both power and DMX input sockets located at one side, while the corresponding output sockets are positioned at the other side.
