Traction Sound Invites PLASA Focus: Leeds Visitors to Ramp Up The VolumeTraction Sound and its distributor RWS Prosound will show off Traction Sound's PLASA Innovation Award nominated SDS range of loudspeakers on Stand S-C19 at PLASA Focus: Leeds. They will also be running demonstrations of the products in the Lancelot Room at the Holiday Inn Express, adjacent and opposite to the exhibition centers. Heralded as the key networking event for entertainment technology professionals in the north, PLASA Focus runs April 17-18 at the Royal Armouries Museum, Leeds. The show provides an opportunity for visitors to check out new products and meet representatives from leading manufacturers, distributors, rental houses, and production companies. Traction Sound's range of installation and portable pro audio speakers feature SDS Horn technology, the advantages of which Traction's technical specialist, Andy Pardoe explains: "The SDS Horn is a high frequency device that utilizes multiple high-powered soft dome tweeters arrayed in a line. This eliminates the use of industry standard compression drivers and provides a higher quality listening experience." Jonny Goodwillie, sales director at Traction Sound continues: "The SDS range is designed to deliver accurate sound reproduction at high SPL with no distortion. The successful launch of our range of products demonstrates that there's still plenty of headroom when it comes to loudspeaker development and design today." Interested engineers, venue techs, and hire shops are invited to bring their own listening material -- either on CD or iPod, drop by stand S-C19, or by Traction's sub-distributor AC-ET in the Saviles Hall foyer, to arrange a visit the Lancelot Room at the Holiday Inn Express. There you can ramp up the volume and really hear the difference.
