AES and Arup Partner Again to Award the Diversity in Audio Scholarship

The Audio Engineering Society (AES)'s diversity, equity and inclusion committee, in partnership with environmental consulting firm Arup, announces entries are open for this year's Diversity in Audio Scholarship. This scholarship supports underrepresented voices in the industry and provides an opportunity for students to connect with and learn from leaders in the profession, the company says.

This year's scholarship recipient will be invited to attend the AES Show 2024 New York at the Jacob Javits Center and experience the full range of learning and development opportunities offered throughout the event. The winning student will receive $2,000 toward travel, accommodations, and other costs associated with attending the convention. In addition, a professional from Arup's Audiovisual team will accompany the scholarship recipient at the conference to offer support, mentorship, and career guidance.

Arup is a collective of designers, consultants, and experts working globally to provide design, engineering, architecture, planning, and advisory services across every aspect of the built environment.

Interested students must complete the online application and submit their resume/CV by Monday, September 23, to be considered for the scholarship. The winner will be announced Friday, September 27. Detailed eligibility, criteria, and application information can be found here.
