With the opening of The Robert W. Wilson MCC Theater Space, MCC Theater has consolidated performance venues, offices, and educational programs under one roof. Auerbach Pollock Friedlander provided theater consulting and audio-video design for the project, located at street level in a 27-story mixed-use residential tower in Manhattan's Hell's Kitchen neighborhood.

The Robert W. Wilson MCC Theater Space includes the 100-seat Susan & Ronald Frankel Theater and the 245-seat Newman Mills Theater, as well as two rehearsal spaces. The new theater spaces will permit MCC to expand their programming and provide new opportunities for students.

Auerbach Pollock Friedlander provided the first concepts through final design for the layout of the spaces and the theater rigging, lighting, and audio-video systems. Working collaboratively with MCC's artistic and administrative staff and Andrew Berman Architect, the firm endeavored to fit MCC's program needs into the existing shell and core of the building.

Founded in 1986, MCC Theater is one of the leading Off-Broadway theater companies. Performances of the musical Alice By Heart began on January 30th in the Newman Mills Theater.
