LynTec to Unveil New Power Control Solutions at LDI 2022LynTec is launching new power control solutions at LDI 2022, Nov. 14-20 in Las Vegas. In Booth 2335, the company's new PDS-12 Sequencing Relay Panel and the PoE and Ethernet-enabled Smart Switch Sets will take center stage, with the LCP Lighting Control Panel, Narrow Profile Panelboards, and the company's flagship RPC Remote Control Breaker Panel also on display. "It's essential for us to give customers the ability to effortlessly manage the power needs for the growing assortment of AVL components deployed in today's live event spaces," says Mark Bishop, president of LynTec. "Like many of the solutions within our power control portfolio, our new PDS-12 and Smart Switch Set are designed based on feedback from installers in the field. The PDS-12 builds on the tried-and-true power control features that made our PDS-10 popular with a critical redesign that delivers additional cost savings. Likewise, our new Smart Switch Sets bring our legacy SS-2 Switch Sets into the digital age. Wiring home runs from the panels to the switches are no longer needed -- simply put the panel and the PoE Smart Switch Sets on your network and they can interact. This will drastically reduce the cost and labor of installation." LynTec's PDS-12 is a low-cost, feature-rich relay panel with four, eight, or 12 30A single-pole latching Panasonic relays installed in a compact, 1-sq.-ft. NEMA 1R or 3R enclosure. The new panel features individual step delays between each relay, emergency off by circuit, emergency on for lighting by circuit, as well as under- and over-voltage sensing for brownout and voltage spike protection. It's easy to set up via the LED display and rotary encoder. BACnet IP is expandable, and can also be added to existing building automation systems -- a feature also available with the company's LCP and RPC Power Control solutions. Boasting the same familiar appearance and ease of operability as LynTec's SS-2 Switch Set, the new Smart Switch Set features PoE and Ethernet connectivity to control LynTec RPC, RPCR, LCP, NPAC, and XPC individual zones. This eliminates wiring from switches to the panel. Each switch set is programmed with a web browser to identify the target panel and zone. Integrators can install Smart Switch Sets at multiple locations to control panels in the same or different zones, with each displaying the current zone status. In addition, by connecting to standard SS-2 switches, they are expandable to control two zones. They're available as a wall plate switch or in a mountable rack plate for simple control at the rack. Also at LynTec's LDI booth will be the LCP, which intelligently supports the power demands of lighting and video and comes completely self-contained with a built-in web-browser-based interface, mobile control app, astronomical timer, and contact closure inputs for sensor control. The LCP can also interface with any third-party control system that uses DMX, sACN, HTTP, or Telnet protocols -- the same feature set as the patented RPC Series. It adds several key innovations to the company's innovative panel options. The controller electronics have been removed from the panel and mounted in a standalone, 12x12 enclosure. Firstly, this increases installation flexibility and reduces wall space requirements, and second, the power supply has been moved into the primary panel enclosure -- eliminating the need for sidecars. As a result, the maximum width of a standard NEMA 1 enclosure is 20". Attendees at the show will also want to see LynTec's 9"-wide, column-width Narrow Profile Panelboard, which allows system designers to create a customized power control system that is optimized for available space. It is well suited for industries, stadiums, performance spaces, and mega-churches with robust AVL demands and unique infrastructure requirements. Customers can mix and match the Narrow Profile panels with LynTec's leading range of comprehensive power control panels within the same network on a single interface. From a single IP address, customers can set up, control, and monitor all their AVL sequences or controllable lighting zones across the facility with incredible ease and affordability. LynTec will display its flagship, patented RPC Series -- the power control solution from which all LynTec's innovative power control solutions stem and the premier choice among pro AVL designers, consultants, and integrators. The suite of power control options includes the RPC motorized circuit breaker panels with 30 to 84 controllable breakers per panel, the RPCR electrical relay panels that support eight to 64 relays per panel, and the NPAC rack-mounted relay panel. Based on the G3 Powerlink hardware platform by Square D and engineered to simplify buildouts by accelerating the installation process, the power control decreases operating costs with simple wiring that allows electricians to complete installs quickly and easily, and removes additional steps, costs, and space needed to install a separate relay panel. It can control lighting and AV systems across multiple control zones using multiple control protocols (HTTP, Telnet, sACN, DMX, and RS-232). From LynTec's GUI, users can select the protocol for each zone as well as set up, troubleshoot, control, and monitor the status remotely across existing networks from any connected computer or hand-held smart device. The system can send alert notifications via text or email to warn of panel anomalies.
