CHAUVET to Show New Products at Prolight+Sound

This year's Prolight+Sound -- April 8-11 in Frankfurt, Germany -- will mark the first major showing of three CHAUVET Professional products.

Heading the list is the very new Maverick Storm 1 Flex. Unveiled in late March, this fully featured spot/beam/wash unit is billed as distinguishing itself by projecting flat, even fields of white and colored light from its LED source, including true reds, with no hot spots. It has a zoom range of 2.6 degrees to over 50 degrees, remaining spot-free at its tightest zoom, the company says.

STRIKE V is the newest addition to the STRIKE family of lights. It delivers the same intense brightness as its stablemates, also offering new creative options thanks to its two layers of individually controllable RGBW LEDs. A "smart" variable electronic frost plate that covers the fixture's two layers (each with 24 LEDs), making it possible to create zoomed-out flares and change beam angles at the push of a button. A 180-degree titling fixture, the STRIKE V has powerful strobing capabilities, too.

The Rogue Outcast 3X Wash allows a fast zoom from beam to wash. Powered by thirty-seven 25W RGBW LEDs, this alloy-armored, IP65-rated fixture can punch through fog or haze. It features nine pixel-mappable zones and, the company says, produces excellent color blending and fades with 16-bit master and individual dimming.

The WELL family of battery-powered fixtures will also be featured, including the WELL Panel X4, the WELL Fit X, and the WELL Batten 14 X, which features 14 zones of individually controllable pixels.

ChamSys will have the new MagicQ Compact Wing, which features 20 playbacks (ten fader and ten executor buttons) and pairs seamlessly with MagicQ consoles and wings, making it easy to expand the number of physical playbacks at any site. It joins ChamSys' other product offerings, including the MagicQ MQ500+ Stadium console and GeNetix family of solutions.
