Regina Spektor Live with MEGA-LITESinger-songwriter Regina Spektor held a series of concerts in Brooklyn December 8-10 and at Thalia Hall in Chicago March 2-4. Spektor's performances were enhanced by the use of six Circa Scoop LED fixtures, a MEGA-LITE fixture designed with four elements that can be used in multiple applications. With 336 RGB LEDs, these fixtures produce an array of color combinations and dynamic visuals. Lighting designer Christopher Coyle chose the Circa Scoop LEDs due to the venue's limited space, which restricted the installation of larger fixtures. Additionally, the versatile features of these LEDs made them ideal for transforming the atmosphere throughout the two-hour performance. "I was really pleased with how well this light could keep up with an artist whose sound ranges from classical to rock and everything in between. These lights were able to match the mood of all of it," Coyle says. He was particularly impressed with the dimming ability of the LEDs in these fixtures. "We run them really dim a lot of the time, and they performed well even at levels below 10%. No LED is perfect from 0% to 1%, but these were better than a lot of the options out there," he adds.
