Martien van Doorne Cultural Center Takes Prolights

The cultural center Martien van Doorne in The Netherlands has just taken delivery of several Prolights fixtures. The large Rabo Cultuurzaal was in need of new theatre lighting.

Mischa Woudenberg of Full AVL, Prolights' distributor in the region, along with the theatre's technical team, searched for the right fixtures that matched the theatre's needs. After an intensive period of testing and shoot-out demos, a selection of Prolights fixtures came out on top.

"Prolights' fixtures excelled in light quality," says Carlo Reijs, technical director for the venue: "The ease of use is also really distinctive compared to other brands. The service and support from the Dutch distributor gave us the confidence to make an investment of this magnitude in these fixtures."

The upgrade included Prolights' EclFresnel TW, EclProfile CT+, EclCyclorama 050 fixtures.

"All these fixtures are calibrated according to the unique Spektra system from Prolights," adds Reijs. "This accurately calibrates colors and whites for all fixtures used. This saves a huge amount of time during the programming of shows and ensures a sleek and consistent appearance of the lighting plan."
