Armando Gallego's MEGA Experience

"It's the lighting engineers who determine which fixtures are used or not. But those who have tested MEGA's luminaires have been fascinated by their performance," shares Gallardo.

Armando Gallardo has been part of the lighting service industry since the early 2000s and is the owner of LDGS Lighting, a company based in Chula Vista, California. With over 16 years of experience, LDGS Lighting specializes in lighting and staging, design and programming, special effects, 3D rendering, trussing for concerts, and event production.

The company has collaborated with well-known artists such as Bad Bunny, Manuel Turizo, Marc Anthony, Nicky Jam, Sebastian Yatra, and Los Tucanes de Tijuana. For these productions, Gallardo has worked closely with professionals and lighting engineers who have tested and selected various MEGA-LITE fixtures, with the Tiltbot Trio, EW1, and Circa Scoop LED among their top choices. These luminaires have been used extensively on large stages across the US and Canada, providing engineers with modern effects to achieve the desired visual impact. Additionally, the Raven Clearview from MEGAVIEW is featured in various LDGS Lighting installations, enhancing their productions with high-quality visuals.

"It's the lighting engineers who determine which fixtures are used or not. But those who have tested MEGA's luminaires have been fascinated by their performance," shares Gallardo.

Gallardo also praised MEGA-LITE's Viceroy, an IP65-rated fixture featuring a modern scoop effect that is billed as delivering a broad, uniform, and powerful color wash. The luminaire includes a five-segment center strobe bar with high-power amber and cool white LEDs. He confirmed that this fixture has been incorporated into Los Tucanes de Tijuana concerts, highlighting the interest of Mario, the band's vocalist, in the Viceroy and his personal involvement in the lighting design for their shows.

"Most engineers are drawn to new fixtures that are not just a wash or a spot but also offer unique effects that other companies don't have," Gallardo says. He also emphasized the importance of continuous innovation and maintaining open communication with the company, ensuring that feedback helps refine and develop MEGA-LITE's lighting solutions to meet the evolving needs of the entertainment industry.
