Christie Continues to Extend Boundaries with a Showcase of Powerful Tools for Powerful Experiences at LDI 2018The global debut of Christie's D4K40-RGB pure laser projector will be among the many booth highpoints as Christie presents the most powerful tools for the most powerful experiences at the 30th Live Design International (LDI) show from October 19 to 21, 2018 in the Las Vegas Convention Center, the company says. Introduced on October 16 and showing at LDI, the new Christie D4K40-RGB is the lightest all-in-one, 40,000 lumen, omnidirectional, large-venue RGB laser projector on the market, the company says. There are no heavy external chillers, remote laser racks, or special pedestals -- everything integrates into a single chassis. Also debuting at LDI is the new Christie Pandoras Box Compact Player. The product features up to two 4K outputs and is designed for professional applications. Built-to-order, the Compact Player will meet performance and budget requirements whether it's part of a trailblazing digital signage installation, inside a modern museum, or aboard a cruise ship. The Playlist feature makes it easy to play multiple media files in a row without the need of programming separate containers on a timeline sequence. An unlimited number of Compact Players can be centrally controlled and synchronized via a network, using the Pandoras Box Manager software. Along with Christie Terra and Pandoras Box, the Christie Spyder X80 will manage and control the displayed content. Used around the world for major productions, the Spyder X80's 80 megapixel canvas and support for today's 4K/ 60Hz signal formats ensure the performance and reliability requirements of rental stagers everywhere, the company says. Visitors see Christie Terra in action -- Christie's standardized AV-over-IP solution built on SDVoE technology to transport latency-free and artefact-free content including 4K/60Hz formats. Terra supports the transport of a broad set of AV content and control signals and offers scaling and video processing features. See Terra in action demonstrating switching of uncompressed video with zero-frame latency with KVM (Keyboard, Video and Mouse) and multi-view confidence monitoring. Making its LDI debut is Christie Guardian, an optional feature of Christie's Mystique auto-alignment and blending tool. Unique to Christie and exclusively available on select Christie 3DLP projectors, including the new D4K40-RGB, Guardian automatically calibrates multi-projector displays in real-time to keep them perfectly blended and aligned, invisibly, even while content is playing, without interrupting the audience experience. Integrating with Pandoras Box, the Christie Crimson Series line of 3DLP® laser projectors -- on display at LDI -- meets the rigorous and stringent requirements of any large venue or staging event. Launched earlier this year, the Christie HS Series will make its LDI debut. This high-performance and versatile 1DLP line of projectors will be mapping images on a fabric screen. Ranging in brightness levels from 7,000-20,000 lumens and resolutions including WUXGA, HD, and 4K UHD, the HS Series offers a powerful, reliable and cost-effective option for almost any high-use application from projection mapping to rental staging, the company says. Billed as setting benchmarks in brightness, color accuracy, power requirements, and form factor, the omnidirectional HS Series features Christie BoldColor Technology for the most natural, lifelike colors, and Christie Twist for quick and easy alignment. Finally, the booth also features a 0.9-millimeter Christie Apex LED video wall. This premium LED video wall solution delivers a 16:9 aspect ratio, UHD resolution, and advanced monitoring capabilities for critical viewing environments. The product is also system-certified and features advanced-monitoring and 24/7 operation.
