Audient plc was formed in 1997 by David Dearden and Gareth Davies. Between them, Dearden and Davies have more than 50 years experience in the professional audio industry and, before forming Audient, were the founding partners of DDA, a company whose mixing console designs set new price/performance standards during the '80s and '90s in both the recording and live sound fields. Products include AZTEC, a live performance console; ONE Digital Loudspeaker Manager; Sumo, High Resolution Summing Amplifier; ASP008 8 channel Variable Impedance Mic Preamp; ASP231 Graphic Equalizer; and the ASP8024 high resolution recording console. Recent Projects:
Audient's AZTEC live console toured with Velvet Thunder Sound Systems this year alongside Audient's ASP231 Graphic EQs at High Sierra Music Festival (Quincy, Ca.), String Cheese Incident Festival, (North Plains, Or.), and as monitors for heavy rock show Off-fest (Bend, Or.). The ONE Speaker Processor from Audient featured at Cornbury festival in Oxfordshire with artists as diverse as Steve Harley, Elvis Costello, and Joe Cocker.
