dAFTdATA was formed in 2002 to develop a range of wireless Ethernet solutions for the entertainment industry. Having designed the entertainment industry speciifc protocol WENDI (Wireless Entertainment Network Distribution Interface) the company then set about working with trade partners to implement the rollout of wireless networking products for the entertainment industry. The first phase was the implementation of wireless DMX via 802.11B networks, this product was quickly acquired by Avolites limited and is now shipped as their e-DMX range. Currently the company is working on a range of wireless DMX as well as video and audio related products.
