Profile:
Integrated set and lighting design. As a designer my aim is to amplify the playwright's intent, influencing the audience as to time, place, and mood, evoking an emotional response in the audience. I exploit the qualities of light - its colour, texture, direction and intensity. With this approach I can collaborate with the director in rationalising the need for extensive set construction. My skills include concept development, design, rigging, plotting and programming. In set design, my engineering background ensures ease of construction and clear communication of details.I have 30 years experience in design for the stage.
