Among the most respected programs in the country, the IU Department of Theatre and Drama advances the art, scholarship, and practice of theatre. Every year our department hosts many nationally and internationally recognized theatre artists and our work is presented in national and international venues. In theatre design and technology we build a transforming atmosphere through formal instruction, individual mentoring, and production opportunities, while engaging the forefront of innovation and research. We are proud of our MFA professional training programs housed in the Lee Norvelle Theatre and Drama Centers studios, shops, and theatres, whose resources rival many regional theatre facilities.
